Re: RetroStone : New product pre-release news!

Glad to hear the LCD stays black! Nice one. A soft shutdown button would make the product much more user friendly in my opinion, so I really hope you do add that Pierre. Most people don’t even know what’s inside these things so would just use the switch to power off, as they keep doing with my Raspi...

Re: RetroStone : New product pre-release news!

Hey Pierre Have been monitoring the Kickstarter closely and like what I see. :) The screen looks good! I’m still keen to back and am 90% to go for 2x devices. Regarding the power switch, can this be used to shutdown the RetroStone, or do we have to shutdown via software? When you shutdown via softwa...

Re: RetroStone : New product pre-release news!

Hi Pierre I am keen to back the RetroStone project with a friend and back the 'Two at earlybird price' option. My concerns are the Dpad controls, which seem like could be solved by having them on the board, and also using GPIO not usb connector. My other concern was the screen quality. Would it be p...

Re: [TUTO] Mapping Battry Indicator Button as ESC Keyboard (or other if you want)

Cheers!

It was about £5 from eBay. Had to modify quite a bit to fit this button in but works an absolute treat.

Let me know if you have trouble with the script ;)
Thanks mate. No issues with the script, works a treat on my RPi3. Rigged up a mini arcade button to pin 5 and boom!

Try to execute the script via SSH connection and see if you have any error.
Have tested exhaustively with Pierre’s assistance and it appears the PCB is indeed not responding as planned.

New one on the way! Pierre is a top lad.

Stand for Raspiboy?

I would love to have a stand for both display purposes and also gameplay when using two player/or with a USB controller instead of the built in one. ETA Prime has a stand in this video shown from 0:22... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITOEWL1NZO8&t=8s Can anyone identify it? Or have any suggest...

Re: Lightning button on the rear...?

So I rigged up the PCB, Zero, LCD & Battery outside of the case and gently clamped the Zero to the PCB using insulated copper wire. The Zero booted perfectly and i can see the pogo pins are lined up correctly to the Zero. I connected a keyboard and ran "sudo python /boot/test.py script"...

Re: Lightning button on the rear...?

You don't need internet connection to test. But you need a keyboard to go to console and type the command line. You can stack them together if you'r gentle it's ok, I usually use insulated metallic wire that I put through both PCB holes to tight the PCB together. Cheers Pierre. Really appreciate th...

Re: Lightning button on the rear...?

Sorry, I was not clear. The script did run correctly on the Zero and did report ‘script started’. The Zero and the RPi3 do everything the same, except the Zero does not respond at all when the BiB is pushed. To setup the Zero on its own, not sure how to do this as I do not have any way of get...
