I suggest using the L/R boards of original inner gamepad PCB because they are not exact squares. So maybe case will not close correctly. I've found it does close (i accidentally put them on the wrong way round in my first build), but its very tight, and may damage components over time if left like ...

Thanks for the quick response.
I did some probing on the board, and checked the data sheet and I came to the same conclusion. Im considering having an arduino drive the screen when hdmi is connected but either route is going to require mods. I shall report back!!

Hi Admin, First, thanks for this kit - originally I bought it for the case, but its turned out to be such a great device for playing on now that I've fixed the controller issues I had. Using a raspiberry pi zero w has meant I can use a 8bitdo controller as a second player controller, which is great....

Just to add to the posts above, the raspiboy controller board is just a USB controller with a 4-pin JST plug on it to save space and connect it to the 8B-PCB. I've found the bottom of the original board is too flexible, and nothing holds it against the silicon - so while replacement silicon pads imp...
