I believe there was an issue with the retrorangepi that after pressing select, there was d-pad issues and configuring the inputs was necessary. Not sure if the latest update fixed that or not.

Bios files maybe.
For ps1, you should have unzipped files in there. Make sure there is a cue file. If not, its easy to make one

This is a software issue and it is known. It happened to me too. You need to re-configure the inputs

I installed the newest os as of september 5th. Still have the issue of playing a game and randomly getting dumped into the retropie menu.
