Re: Status LED's too bright

For the LED holes yes you can hot-glue the holes there are no problems. For the Energysquare metal pin yes you can clip them off if you prefer without them. Think I will change the LED to green ones for next production/next version. Maybe it would help if they would not directly point into ones eye...

Re: Static crackling noise

Hey, thanks for your response. I am not sure, because it is rather quiet. For the first few days, I set up the RetroStone and tested a few things while listening to music etc. After I was happy with the settings, I started playing a bit before going to bed, and then you can clearly hear it. It also ...

Static crackling noise

As I already mentioned in another thread, I noticed that my RetroStone makes this weird crackling sound (a bit like a Geiger counter), even if the (physical) volume is tuned down completely. It seems to originate from the speaker though. I have the feeling that it gets worse the longer I play, but a...

Re: Status LED's too bright

Looks much better, thank you. I think I won't take them out though, this seems a bit too drastic :)

But I see that you took out those strange metal pins - how did you do that? Just clip them off?

Status LED's too bright

Hey guys. I really like playing a little while before going to sleep, but I find the status LED's super annoying, since they're so bright. I thought about hot-gluing the LED holes so that it's at least a bit more diffuse and not so glaring. Do you guys feel the same? Did you already do something to ...

Re: sound after shutdown

Mine makes sounds like an old hard drive or a Geiger counter, but only when it is on and running. If I shut it down, there is (nearly) no noise, and if I switch it off completely, it goes silent. So I don't think that the switch is the problem... The noise seems to originate from the speaker, but I ...

Re: Games extremely laggy

I can confirm this problem, but only after you boot the desktop environment, and then logout (so you get back to emulation station).

If you then proceed to start a game (for me it is a game boy game, for exmaple) it will be super laggy. Hard reboot solves the issue, it bugs me nontheless...

Would it be possible to pledge for the stl files? I would like to print a case myself with some minor modifications.

Thanks,
W
Are there any STL files available yet, or did you eventually make your own models? If so, would you share those?
