I'd actually like to know if it works prior to buying one, as I'd ONLY use it as a "portable C64". I have many other (60Hz-only and way more powerful) handhelds, so I can't test it myself and still hope someone else can report

Hello, I'd really like to know if the internal display can be configured (config file ?) to run @50Hz for PAL-emulation and if there are C64-emulators (combian, BMC64, other vice-builds ...) running fullspeed on a Zero in the raspiboy ?
