Re: Retrostone screen

Still i have done some video captures, you can see how the screen flickers in some scenarios. For example in this game, look at the small squares: https://streamable.com/fa156 This is not of the video capture, this is how it is actually seen to the human eye. Thanks I get a similar flicker on the s...

Re: RetroStone not booting/crashing/freezing - Hardware issue - Please post here.

Hey guys, Can you test the following procedure : Step 1 : From emulationstation, quit to terminal (F4), Step 2 : type in the command : sudo h3consumption -d 528 Step 3 : Type : sudo reboot And report if that helps on your boot/freeze problems? Won't reducing the RAM clock speed have an effect on sy...

Re: I give up

I feel your pain! The last flash I did seems to be a little more stable, thanks to the work done by the RetrOrangePi developer, but still a little hit or miss as to how many times it requires a power cycle to boot. I struggle with the less than sharp screen image though, finding small text difficult...

Re: Micro SD Adapter

You need to flash the RetroRangePi iso onto the SD Card on your PC by inserting the MicroSD into the SD Card adapter and putting it into yor PC, assuming your PC has a SD Card slot? For the flashing, I use Etcher https://etcher.io/ . If your PC does not have an SD Card slot then you'll need access t...

Re: RetroStone not booting/crashing/freezing - Hardware issue - Please post here.

From our previous discussion I recall that you had more issues than this specific occasional problem? Or did you solved them? The reason is that this board is not officially supported by Armbian devs so there is no specific config files for kernel/uboot. As the schematic is very close to Opi pc+ we...

Re: RetroStone not booting/crashing/freezing - Hardware issue - Please post here.

Please note that RetroStone not booting occasionaly is not a hardware problem. There's a specific boot problem that occurs about 1 time every 5 times (LCD will stays white/blue for longer than 15-20 seconds). When that happens you can just switch off and on again. We'r working on a software fix for...

Admin wrote: Mon 20 Aug 2018 09:21 Hey guys,
Have you tried to change the theme to GBZ35?
We'r working to improve the theme to the LCD as most flickering comes from emulation station resizing and settings.
The Pixel TFT theme is a good (better) option for this resolution screen.
