Re: Ethernet connection problem.

I think that ROOT user is the root of the device, and the PI user is just the user account with only access to the ROM storage.

Re: Sound from headphone jack extremely quiet

I'm reasonably certain that Pierre said no, but I'd wait for official confirmation if I were you.

Re: Sound from headphone jack extremely quiet

For me the headphone jack is very quiet too... To be honest I have problems to understand and follow this thread. Do we need to solder in order to fix the volume?? Or is there a software fix for that? There are two resistors that due to a mistake in the design (or possibly the PCB manufacturing) re...

Re: Retrostone crash without an reason

Mine is fine now. Left it overnight charging and I came back this morning and it's booted up no problems. Weird how it just stopped charging and drained the battery though, despite being plugged in.

I've swapped it out for an Amazon charger instead, we'll see how it goes.

Re: Retrostone crash without an reason

Pretty much the same thing just happened to me today - left it turned on and charging (Samsung fast charger) at the EmulationStation main menu, came back some hours later to find the white screen with top quarter flashing blue. Plugged in ethernet, cannot connect. Switched off, and now the uSD card ...

RetroangePi SLIM updated?

I was wondering, with the recent release of Full, has Slim been updated with the new stability fixes? I've not run into any issues as yet, but updating via the RetroPi menu yields nothing.

Re: new way to easily copy from usb to internal

Excellent, I shall install this on my 'Stone. I don't often use external USB (I prefer Ethernet) but having the option is a good thing. I don't suppose you could add functionality to clone the current uSD card setup to an external drive? I have in mind the idea of ordering a 128GB uSD card and would...

Re: Retrostone problems

ExFAT causes all sorts of problems, I found. Fat32 is much better.

FWIW - been away this weekend camping and the 'Stone didn't crash once (mine doesn't, at all) and lasted three days on a single charge. Playing GB/MD/PS1 games while the family slept :)

Re: Dpad sensitivity issue

Thanks, that has fixed my D-Pad. It's still a bit clicky but I suspect it will soften over time. Also took the opportunity to add a small amount of blu-tack to the speaker - it was resonating on the case previously, and now it no longer does :)

Thanks for that!
