It would be way easier to be fair as then you dont need a cable. The wifi setup is real simple and menu based in retropie's setting. Again just make sure its listed as Pi compatible.

Yeah you should be able to find a full sized USB one easy enough. Just make sure its Pi compatible as not all will be as the prev comment stated.

In terms of reputable I'd say ada fruit would be the best option. You just need to make sure it's the same connector.

Which snes emulator is being used? There's 2 or 3 pre installed by default so try them all out if you haven't already.

The splash screen that comes up before loading the ROM will usually tell you which it is and if you press a button while its still onscreen, it will then take you to a menu so you can then choose one in specific. You can check which NeoGeo emulators are actually installed on your Pi in the retropie ...

Ive got the 5700 and in terms of weight its fine. People have said it feels top heavy but its fine for me. The only people who can answer you question really would be someone who has both though.
