Re: Screen broken?

Nah, not stupid. This device requires you have your wits about you and if you're unfamiliar with how Linux works (and how RetrorangePi handles their distribution requirements) then you're not likely to get it right on your first try. Stick with it though, even with the screen the way it is this is a...

Re: Screen broken?

It has no operating system on it, so it cannot boot - and until it can boot, you'll see that screen.

Head over here: https://www.8bcraft.com/Retrostone-tutorial/

Do that, then boot your unit. It will have that same display for a few seconds (wait for it!) and then continue to boot.

Re: Retrostone problems

Will we be able to upgrade the slim build rather than a complete wipe and reinstall?

Re: Retrostone screen

If this is doable, then I'm interested in doing it too.

Don't forget that the software will have to be fixed to no longer switch to composite during boot. Let us know if you decide to try it.

Tutorial: Connecting your RetroStone to a Windows PC

I thought I'd write up my experiences with this over the last few days, with uploading ROMs to the device and configuring RetroPi. It's certainly not a simple job. Basically, you have three options, and two of them are pretty much non-starters: 1. Dump ROMs to an empty RetrorangePi directory structu...

Re: Finally its here! - my opinion and some video tweaks

Yes, these settings are really nice. However they make the darker ES themes too dark to see - I'm using the TFT theme as it's been specifically designed for 320x240 but it's too dark... I may have to play with the theme images a bit :) TFT theme is excellent, but I did indeed mod it to be a lot lig...

Re: retrostone default emulationstation theme

XorA can you give me the full name of this TFT theme? I have not tested it yet. Looks like it's this one: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/10793/new-theme-tft-a-theme-made-for-small-screens Thats the one, its on the themes installer menu under anthonycaccese/tft I'm using it here. It's lovely, b...

Re: How to set screen resolution

Unfortunately, ES only allows a minimum of a 640x480 screen resolution. Changing to anything lower results in a small box at the top left of the screen - which is now doubly scaled down :) So I suppose we probably have a few options now: 1. A custom version of RetrorangPi that can use a 320x240 reso...
