Pico-8 or .love games?

Post by Archarzel »

Has anyone tried to load Pico-8 onto their Retrostone?

There is a love folder in the roms section, but I'm not sure what games would be compatible with the small screens.

This is a good question that I asked myself some time ago, I was having a look if pico-8 was supported by retropie. But I am not sure it is, I could not find much information on that at that time.

Perhaps AlexKidd (retrorangepi developper) knows about it

What are .love games? I don't know about them.

It's a lua framework for 2d games, I don't know much about it myself, but I'm mostly looking for options to make my own games on the Retrostone, don't know where would be best to start.

This love framework looks nice!

The thing with pico-8 is that you'll be limited by the pico-8 specifications. Which could be seen as good or bad.

I found this on how to install on retropie/emulation station :
