Bad LCD Screen

Post by EchoFightr »

I just received my Retrostone in the mail today! Very Excited. Once I got it opened I saw an orange bar going across the screen. ( I thought that this was part of a piece of protective film) There was a green sticky tab on the bottom left corner of the screen and when I peeled it off nothing else came with it. I powered it on to see how it looked and yes there is an orange bar going across the screen and does not wipe off. What is the best way of going about to get this screen replaced?

This red/orange line is indeed part of the protective film. As the green square.

When peeling the film should come with the green square. But I guess it did not from your message? You can still try to lift the film at another place with finger nails.

But if you want to keep the protective film you should be able to wash the red line away by rubbing gently with a soft cloth.

Ok. It did have the Green tab but it did not peel the protective film with it. I will work on getting that peeled off. Other than that I have gotten the Retrostone booted up and so far it has been working great! I also have the new version of the Raspiboy coming as soon as they are ready and love everything you are doing for the retro gaming community!

Thanks!
Chris
