Hi guys,
Unfortunately I have a problem with the raspi boy that I can't get rid of. Independent from the sound volume setting by the small wheel, I always have a very loud noise on my speaker which is even louder than the sound on the highest possible setting. It seems to correspond with the video signal as it changes depending on the signal displayed. I tried to shield the audio line but that lowers the noise only slightly. What to try? Changing the volume in Retropie does not change anything. Is my board broken?
Best, Chris
Audio Problem
Re: Audio Problem
Turn up the volume in the mixer in the Retropi Options -> Audio -> mixer.
Then you can turn down the hardware volume rocker to get good sound without the hiss. It's to do with noise levels/gain staging of the audio. I set mine to 85.
edit: you will need a keyboard to leave the menu after making the change.

Re: Audio Problem
it is really sad that there is apparently no solution to this...I guess that's the risk you have with a Kickstarter campaign
