The right power supply

Post by Dom81 »

Hi there

I just ordered my RaspiBoy yesterday (with a 6000mAh battery) and I hope you can help me with a small question about charging the RaspiBoy.
As I already have a Raspberry charger for my Retropie running on a Pi 3, I'm not sure if I can use the same power supply for the RaspiBoy.
Or can I even just take a simple mobile charger with micro USB?

What's the safest way without blowing up anything?

Thanks for your help in advance
Dom

I've got the 3000mAH battery and use a 5V 1A power supply.

Yeah I'm using a 5v 1a as well and have no issues charging.

A little bit late but many thanks for your replies so far!
Well.. then it's good I didn't throw the old power supplies from my previous mobile devices out
