Power off?

Post by Ryletticraft »

So I have my lovely Raspiboy...
Put it together last night, no issues at all, loaded the only ROM I could find at 0530 this morning and took in onto the train,

Well it worked fantastically, untill it came to power off....

From within the GBA emulator I'm playing in, (Pokemon) I can't get out of the software to power down safely

The battery eventually died and when I booted it back up, the save game didn't seem to have worked, but that might be a power issue,

How do I get out of the emulation software to power off?

you can configure your gamepad buttons to exit the emulator ....and more.

I have programmed the SELECT and START buttons to exit and shutdown the emulator.

If you have set up a Hotkey (like on SELECT) it's SELECT + START.

This is the default configuration, and SELECT + X open the menu of emulator.

Are you talking about an actual in game save? Like you went to a pokemon center to save? Or are you talking about retropie save state? Either way, if power is lost like that, anything can become corrupt. Its not surprising that your save is non existent. You should use save states as well as in-game saves to be extra safe.
