Do you have no sound at all or little?
If sound is not loud enought there's a setting in retropie to increase the volume.

If no sound at all do you have when you plug headphones? The sound goes like this :
RPI zero -> headphones -> amplifier -> speaker

If you have no voice at all it's likely config.txt problem.
If you have sound in the headphone but nothing on the speaker then it's likely that the amplifier IC got damaged with electrostatic discharge.

If problem don't solve you can send me an email at hello@8bcraft.com

If sound is not loud enough there's a setting in retropie to increase the volume.
I will try this, at first it was very bad sound with static. I re-created the retropie image and fixed the sound problem but its still low.
