Yes... this is cool, I notice the scren is slightly smaller than the stock screen, this should not be hard to do at all Very interesting indeed

The screen is a 3.5in Waveshare HDMI IPS LCD.

It is not exactly 4:3, it is a bit wider so not a perfect fit. This mod is a work in progress, I needed to remove the RJ45 jack and some of the USB ports to make room. I am using a WIFI USB dongle for network, there is most likely room to put back some of the other USB ports if I need to. The four holes on the left that show power and battery level are currently blocked, but I think I can make them work again.

The screen is powered from a 5V source that is on the RetroStone PCB. I still need to monitor how much power it draws.

This mod so far has been difficult. I had to remove the screen from it's control board and cutdown the control board to make it fit. I also had to cut away some plastic to make the screen fit, it is a bit wider then the stock screen. Once the screen was removed from the control board, I had to extend a flat ribbon cable to get it to reach again. I replaced the small heatsink on the RetroStone and the display with larger copper heatsinks.

The biggest problem is heat, I need to leave the system on for a while and monitor the heat load. I do not want to install a fan.

@Pierre is there any work around to switch the hdmi inputs so we can use on the lcd screen and tv out uses analog?
