Hm, from what I can say the power button might be slightly broken. If I not only press the button until it "clicks", but as hard as I can, it seems to turn on in seconds every time.
Any thoughts on this?

Re: LCD burn-in
I have also seen some faint ghost images when switching from the emulationstation GUI to a black screen. I didn't think too much of it but I'll also try to get a picture of the effect.

Thanks for the info. I guess the weird sound has another root cause then. Will investigate further...

OK, so what's wrong when it takes >>2-3 seconds to turn on? Like I said, sometimes it's just a few seconds, sometimes it's >10 seconds...

Re: Problems with German customs
That's a new one.
Usually they would hold it back because of WIFI/Bluetooth.
I keep my fingers crossed that in the end they will release your merchandise soon!

Builtin speaker channels / weird sound
Hi everyone! In order to have "proper" sound coming out of the builtin speaker you'd have to mix stereo signals to mono, otherwise you'd have only either the right or the left channel audible. However, I'm under the impression that only one channel is connected to the speaker. I have some ...

PCB layouts/schematics available?
Hi everyone!
I'd like to know if there are PCB layouts and/or schematics of the RetroStone2 available. Maybe I'd like to do some changes on the hardware and layouts/schematics would be REALLY helpful.
Cheers

Power on/off, reboot - desired behaviour?
Hi everyone! To power on the RetroStone2 most of the time I have to hold down the power button quite some time. I haven't timed it, but it's somewhere in the 10s region (or even more) most of the time. However, sometimes it will take only 2-3 seconds to turn on the RS2. Is this normal? On the other ...

Powering on / power button, reboot
Hi everyone! Powering on the RP2 takes a long time. Sometimes I have to hold the power button for >10 seconds for it to turn on. All in all the time seems to be quite random. However, I'm under the impression that it's quite a lot quicker if I have just shut down the RP2 and try to turn it on again....
