Hello Admin,

It's been about a week since your last response. What else can I do to assist you with troubleshooting my problem? I'm eager to do more with my Retrostone2 Pro, but this problem is rendering it almost unplayable.

Please advise. Thanks again for the help!

I solved by making the missing welds, evidently the missing welds created a false contact and the joystick went crazy, try to see if your joystick welds are done well, mine were really bad.

Hey Nocturne and Co:

Thanks for the support and feedback. I went ahead and opened up the RS2 and it does indeed look like the analog stick module hasn't been correctly soldered into the board.

Looking at points of contact at "123", it looks like 1 and 3 aren't even soldered. I've attached pictures of the module below. Please let me know how I should proceed. I have some soldering experience and access to the tools I should need.

I have redone the welds, now it works perfectly, and I can play.

Hello all:

I just wanted to post an update after a long delay, just a lot of stuff has been going on lately.

I finally had an opportunity to sit down and solder those two loose contacts that are pictured above. I'm happy to say that the analog stick is now functioning properly. Hopefully if someone has this issue in the future, this thread will help them out.

Thanks to Nocturne and co for the support.

I had the same issue. The easy resolution was to disable the joystick at driver level.

Take this file:
https://github.com/maximilianvoss/retro ... troller.py
and copy it to:
/home/pi/RetrOrangePi/GPIO/drivers/tz_gpio_controller.py

Best,
Max

Hey guys,
Sorry for my late reply, I have not been monitoring the forum much lately. As I was thinking Sakib was monitoring it and would have notified me if anything required assistance. There must have been a mishap.
Glad you found the solution though.
Sorry about this production issue, it should definitely be completely soldered...
