Save shut down?

Hi if you shut down den Raspiboy over the 8Bcraft PCB will it a safe shutdown the pi or will it just turn the power off?
When you shutdown from software it will turn off the raspberry pi,
Then you should use the ON/OFF switch to turn off the device.
