Hi everyone!
In order to have "proper" sound coming out of the builtin speaker you'd have to mix stereo signals to mono, otherwise you'd have only either the right or the left channel audible.
However, I'm under the impression that only one channel is connected to the speaker. I have some games with weird fade in/out sound which I suspect is really stereo sound that alternates between left and right channels. Can someone confirm this?
OK, so this is now a hardware question turning software question: if it really is as I suspect it is, can you maybe fix this in software by mixing stereo to two channel mono sound on the internal speaker?
Cheers

Builtin speaker channels / weird sound
Re: Builtin speaker channels / weird sound
The hardware is as follow :
Stereo sound goes to the audio jack.
Inside the audio jack there are switches which are open when headphone set are connected. If unconnected, both L and R join and go to speaker amplifier.

Re: Builtin speaker channels / weird sound
Thanks for the info. I guess the weird sound has another root cause then. Will investigate further...
